Analytical Chemist

Indianapolis $40,000 - $50,000 Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC, HPLC, Mass Spectrometers, and centrifuges, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

  • Perform routine calibration and documentation to uphold compliance and lab efficiency.

  • Oversee LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and manage laboratory consumables to support seamless operations.

  • Analyze and interpret complex chemical data, providing actionable insights that impact decision-making.

  • Lead safety and compliance initiatives, ensuring proper hazardous materials management and maintaining a well-organized laboratory.

  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of professional growth and knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of hands-on laboratory experience working with analytical instrumentation (preferred).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret technical data.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with laboratory information systems.

  • Deep understanding of lab safety protocols and hazardous materials management.
