Overview:
We are seeking a results-oriented Project Manager to join the Manufacturing Optimization team supporting Manufacturing Operations. This role is instrumental in advancing process engineering initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving manufacturing excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams and Manufacturing Enterprise Systems (MES). The ideal candidate combines technical depth, process improvement expertise, and strong project management skills to deliver sustainable performance improvements across operations.
This position is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and execute manufacturing process development and process improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity, process reliability, and overall operational performance.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Enterprise Systems (MES) and IT teams to align process optimization efforts with digital system capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Partner with process engineers, production leaders, and project managers to assess current operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimized workflows.
Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, minimize waste, and improve consistency across manufacturing activities.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure effective and timely execution.
Leverage data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess the impact of improvement initiatives.
Support digital transformation by ensuring that process design, system integration, and execution strategies are aligned and effectively implemented.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration.
Ensure all activities comply with GMP, quality, and data integrity standards.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
4+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, process engineering, or operational excellence within a regulated industry.
Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement or transformation projects.
Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their application in process optimization and digital manufacturing.
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent hands-on experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Solid understanding of GMP requirements, quality systems, and operational compliance.
