Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Technical Operations Project Manager to support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and manufacturing excellence. This role focuses on leading projects that optimize manufacturing processes, strengthen data integrity, and improve production performance. The ideal candidate will combine project management expertise, technical understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and a strong foundation in process improvement to ensure operations run efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This position is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Job Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of MES projects that drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify process bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and improve overall manufacturing performance.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while proactively mitigating risks to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and alignment with operational goals.
Translate operational needs into clear project plans and technical requirements for MES and related digital systems.
Monitor and report operational metrics, leveraging data to drive decision-making and evaluate project outcomes.
Support change management activities to promote successful system adoption and process optimization across production operations.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
4+ years of project management experience within manufacturing, regulated, or technology-driven environments.
Direct experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or enterprise manufacturing platforms.
Proven ability to lead projects that improve efficiency and deliver measurable results.
Lean Six Sigma certification or practical experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, and data integrity principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing operations.
Familiarity with process automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 technologies.
PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
