Formulation Specialist

Overview:

A growing pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Formulation Specialist to support sterile drug product production. This hands-on role involves weighing, dispensing, and operating formulation equipment while maintaining strict compliance with GMP standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-driven, and experienced in working within cleanroom environments.

You will play a key part in process improvement efforts, drug manufacturing & formulation, equipment operation, and training new formulation associates to ensure consistent, high-quality output.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cleaning, sanitization, and preparation of formulation equipment.

  • Follow manufacturing procedures and production documentation

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within the manufacturing area, providing advanced troubleshooting, coordination, and communication support.
  • Lead and assist production personnel in identifying and eliminating waste, implementing standard work, and driving process improvements.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain equipment used in formulation and aseptic operations within Grade A, C, D, and controlled non-classified cleanrooms.
  • Complete and review batch records, logbooks, and associated documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in drafting and implementing process documentation and area procedures.
  • Train and mentor new associates on equipment operation, aseptic techniques, and ERP manufacturing transactions.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization activities to maintain a compliant and safe environment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support efficient operations and product quality.


Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in formulation or fill/finish processing.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Windows or equivalent is required
