Pharmaceutical Filling Operator

Indianapolis, IN $32 - $34/HR Permanent

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmaceutical Filling Operator with subject matter expertise in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, and aseptic filling equipment. This is a key technical role within the operations team, supporting day-to-day aseptic production activities, process optimization, and equipment reliability in a GMP environment.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in pharmaceutical filing operations, or other technical job functions within hands-on pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a strong understanding of aseptic processing, cleanroom operations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established production and manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform duties within Grade C, D, and controlled non-classified cleanrooms.
  • Conduct aseptic manipulations within Grade A isolators.
  • Perform cleaning, sanitization, equipment preparation, and aseptic filling tasks as required.
  • Safely operate production equipment, including setup, operation, and changeovers.
  • Accurately record data and complete batch documentation in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Execute validation and engineering protocols as assigned.
  • Train other team members in various manufacturing activities, including fill/finish, sanitization, and component/equipment preparation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure consistent performance.
  • Support equipment optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Work flexible hours or shifts as required to support production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of cGMPs, aseptic processing, and fill-finish operations for sterile drug products.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3+ years of GMP pharmaceutical experience in operation, cleaning, and maintenance of aseptic filling or other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
