Environmental Monitoring Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental monitoring in cleanrooms and controlled areas.

• Collect samples such as air, surface, and personnel monitoring samples.

• Use equipment such as air samplers, particle counters, and contact plates.

• Perform microbial sampling using swabs and agar plates.

• Document sampling activities following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.

• Incubate and track samples for microbial growth.

• Record results and report any contamination or out-of-specification findings.

• Assist with investigations and corrective actions when contamination is detected.

• Maintain monitoring equipment and ensure calibration is up to date.

• Follow strict cleanroom procedures, gowning requirements, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related science field (sometimes equivalent lab experience accepted).

• Experience in a laboratory, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom environment preferred.

• Basic knowledge of microbiology and sterile techniques.

• Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
