Quality Control Chemist

Indianapolis $65,000 - $80,000 Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and full lifecycle management (IQ/OQ/PQ) of complex analytical instrumentation, including HPLC and Mass Spectroscopy systems, in a regulated laboratory environment
  • Drive instrument performance optimization by identifying root causes of technical issues, executing corrective actions, and minimizing downtime across multiple platforms
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor-supported repairs, software installations, and enterprise-level system upgrades, ensuring validated implementation and regulatory compliance
  • Execute and document instrument performance verification, system suitability, and computer systems validation activities in alignment with GLP standards
  • Support high-throughput analytical operations through batch configuration, mobile phase and standard preparation, and strict adherence to controlled procedures
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory safety, regulatory, and quality requirements


Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline (Bachelor’s strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise maintaining, repairing, and validating HPLC instrumentation in a regulated environment
  • Proven experience performing IQ/OQ/PQ and supporting computer systems validation for analytical platforms
  • Strong technical knowledge of mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and associated data systems
  • Experience working under GLP or similar regulatory frameworks with a high degree of documentation accuracy
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and perform in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the confidence to interface directly with vendors, IT, and cross-functional scientific teams
