Laboratory Technician

Bloomington, IN $16 - $18.40/HR Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow written specifications, manufacturing instructions, and drawings to assemble medical devices.
  • Produce high-quality work while meeting department production standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation throughout the production process.
  • Operate and set up basic production tools and machines (e.g., razor blades, hole punch, tabletop grinders).
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers to verify product dimensions.
  • Perform tasks such as cutting, flaring, tipping, side-porting, gluing, and bonding as required.
  • Visually inspect products for quality and report any non-conformances to management.
  • Work in a controlled environment, following all gowning, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in training new employees and implementing process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend product documentation, specifications, and drawings.
  • Strong manual dexterity, fine eye-hand coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing quality documentation.
  • Adequate visual acuity (20/40 in both eyes, with or without correction).
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods and perform frequent repetitive motions.
