Senior Manager, Manufacturing Technical Operations

Summary

The Senior Operational Excellence Professional will play a key role in driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost efficiency, and employee engagement. This position partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify operational opportunities, implement sustainable process improvements, and strengthen organizational performance through Lean thinking and operational excellence principles. The role serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on change agent, helping to build a culture of accountability, problem solving, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, prioritize, and govern a portfolio of high-impact operational excellence initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Drive the deployment and adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies across operational and support functions
  • Collaborate with site leadership, functional teams, and senior stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and execute improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, root cause analyses, and structured problem-solving workshops to improve operational performance
  • Track, validate, and communicate operational, process, and financial improvements resulting from continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Green Belts, Black Belts, and operational leaders to strengthen continuous improvement capabilities throughout the organization
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of standard work, tiered management systems, KPI governance, and performance management practices
  • Serve as a change agent by promoting operational excellence principles and reinforcing a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, process improvement, or operations leadership environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and change management methodologies with the ability to apply tools in complex operational settings
  • Demonstrated track record of leading initiatives that deliver measurable and sustainable operational improvements
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across multiple departments or sites
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement certification preferred
