Indianapolis $45-55 p/h Contract
Perform detailed time studies to establish standard operating times and identify performance gaps.
Conduct line balancing and layout reviews to improve flow and utilization of labor and equipment.
Analyze data from production systems to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop process documentation, standard work instructions, and visual management tools to support manufacturing teams.
Partner with production and engineering to evaluate process changes, automation upgrades, and new equipment introductions.
Participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Provide recommendations to enhance safety, quality, and productivity across production lines.
Support project implementation, monitor results, and adjust as needed to sustain gains.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment (medical device or precision machining preferred).
Strong analytical skills with experience in time studies, takt time analysis, and workflow optimization.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar layout/design software.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP) preferred.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools (Green Belt or higher a plus).
Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
