Maintenance Technician

Indianapolis $50,000 - $60,000 Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of production and packaging machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Operate and maintain refrigeration, boiler, and water treatment systems as needed.
  • Conduct equipment setup, changeovers, and calibrations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics to develop technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance within can/bottle production or a related industry.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with basic electrical knowledge required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Journeyman-level roles require experience with VFD programming, electrical installations, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
