Sr. Maintenance Technician

Fishers $30 - $40/HR Permanent

Key Accountabilities & Decision Areas

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on production lines in accordance with the maintenance plan and MTL instructions.

  • Document and communicate all breakdowns and maintenance activities that occurred during the shift. Report any machinery nonconformities related to efficiency, safety, or quality.

  • Accurately record all maintenance activities in the designated software system and/or required forms.

  • Perform proper line setups and assist Production during start-up phases.

    • (For Electrical Maintenance Operators:) Execute setup and calibration of automatic inspection systems.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, both internally and externally (e.g., in collaboration with production line suppliers).

Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular and effective communication with key internal leaders, team members, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives.

Safety

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and promote a Safety-First culture, striving for an injury-free workplace.

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and gowning in designated areas.

  • Perform tasks that may involve standing, walking, bending, or sitting for extended periods.

Training

  • Complete internal QMS training and maintain proficiency in company quality standards.

  • Participate in relevant IT and systems training, including MS Office, Teams, LIMS, ERP, and other company applications.

  • Fulfill all required corporate safety training.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours per day.

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and extending during daily tasks.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 20 pounds as needed.

Visual and Inspection Requirements

  • Must possess 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) to visually inspect manufactured products for quality and specification compliance.

Technical & Office Duties

  • Regularly read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and product specifications.

  • Operate a computer and related office equipment to complete administrative or technical tasks.

  • Occasionally work in an office setting to perform documentation or system updates.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Must wear designated PPE daily, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and any additional protection required for specific manufacturing areas.
