Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Worker

Indianapolis, IN $23/HR - $26.75/HR Contract

Overview:
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Worker is responsible for supporting daily pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by loading materials, monitoring equipment, and performing in-process quality checks to ensure smooth and compliant production. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to GMP and safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor automated production equipment, including material loading and finished product handling, in alignment with production schedules.
  • Verify raw materials against production planning requirements and manage material flow to and from cleanroom areas.
  • Conduct in-process inspections, record results, and ensure compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance activities including cleaning, line clearance during changeovers, and routine troubleshooting to maintain machine operability.
  • Communicate shift handover information clearly to ensure continuity of production operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Quality, Operations, and Technical Maintenance to address deviations and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all HSE and PPE requirements, promoting a Safety First culture in all activities.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Detail-oriented, agile, and able to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day; frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
  • Must meet visual inspection requirements (20/20 vision, corrected if necessary).
  • Required daily use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, gowning, and hearing protection.
  • Work performed in ISO 7/8 cleanroom environments, glass forming, needle assembly, packaging, and warehouse areas.
  • Off-shift or weekend support may be required based on production needs.
