Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• Receive, register, organize, and retrieve samples for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare samples for testing using techniques such as aliquoting, spiking, dilution, reagent preparation, sonication, and sample separation.
• Verify sample identification and resolve labeling discrepancies to maintain accurate sample tracking.
• Complete laboratory documentation, including sample records, worksheets, logbooks, and testing data.
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, equipment, and work areas.
• Monitor laboratory inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Follow established laboratory procedures to support accurate, efficient, and reliable testing operations.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, sample preparation, and testing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and record information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize assigned tasks.
