Laboratory Technician

Des Moines $18-$20/HR Contract

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain greenhouse plants through watering, fertilizing, pruning, transplanting, and general plant care.
Assist with planting, propagation, and cultivation of crops used in research and development programs.
Monitor and maintain greenhouse environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, irrigation, and lighting systems.
Collect plant growth data and record observations related to plant health, development, and experimental results.
Support pollination, tagging, labeling, and tracking of plant materials used in research trials.
Follow company protocols and safety procedures when handling plant materials, fertilizers, and pest control products.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or Biology preferred.
0–3 years of experience working in greenhouse operations, plant research, or agricultural production preferred.
Ability to accurately collect and record plant data and follow research protocols.
