Safety Representative

Job Responsibilities:

• Issue Core Permits, Electrical Authorizations, Hot Work Permits, and other required safety permits
• Serve as a Safety Lookout during live electrical panel work
• Maintain inspection records for electrical safety gloves, arc flash suits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment
• Perform regular inspections of eye wash stations, GFCIs, shop jacks, and other safety systems
• Record and track STOP audits in the company database
• Upload CMV hours to the company database for compliance
• Assist in writing and maintaining Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Use regulatory subscription services to ensure compliance with local safety regulations
• Assist with documentation and organization of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Verify contractor licensing and safety credentials
• Conduct monthly vehicle inspections of company pool vehicles
• Support the development of Lockout/Tagout procedures and training materials
• Conduct walking surface inspections to identify potential hazards
• Assist with facilitating monthly FS&RE safety meetings
• Work closely with EH&S safety subject matter experts to implement company safety standards
• Assist in instructor-led EH&S training sessions for personnel

Qualifications:

• Experience in safety, preferably in construction, maintenance, or industrial environments
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and workplace safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and internal teams
• Proficiency in computer-based documentation and compliance tracking
• Ability to wear a PAPR (medical clearance required)
• Preferred experience in an agricultural or research environment
