Machinist

St. Louis $20 - $25/HR Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters to achieve desired specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Adjust machine settings and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining and equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all company safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, production teams, and quality control to meet project deadlines.
  • Document production activities, including work logs and quality reports.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required, Technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • CNC programming certification is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with CNC programming and G-code preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
