Greenhouse Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate greenhouse trials and laboratory assays from setup through final assessment
• Apply treatments to plants using various equipment, including track sprayers (ability to wear a respirator required)
• Follow established laboratory protocols and safety procedures with precision and consistency
• Coordinate scheduling for laboratory equipment use and oversee routine maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all regulations governing the handling and disposal of plant and microbial materials
• Perform data collection, management, and quality assurance

Qualifications

• B.A., B.S., or Associate's degree in Plant Biology, Soil Science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field
• Hands-on experience performing laboratory bioassays in a research and development environment
• Demonstrated experience conducting greenhouse trials focused on plant growth and development
• Strong interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication abilities
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast-paced lab setting
• Proficiency in scientific record keeping and familiarity with standard software applications
• Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing 25–50 lbs
