Plant Research Technician

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sterilize laboratory materials, media, and equipment following standard protocols.
• Handle biological materials, including preparation, tagging, and collection for testing.
• Perform sterile techniques for handling and maintaining cultures.
• Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals and using personal protective equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in laboratory and work areas.
• Track and restock supplies to support daily operations.
• Record procedures and observations accurately to support research or project goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Plant Biology, Microbiology, Biological Science or related discipline; relevant experience may substitute.
• Skilled in aseptic techniques and laboratory best practices.
• Familiarity with handling biological samples and lab equipment.
• Understanding of chemical safety and proper use of PPE.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow precise procedures.
• Able to work independently and collaborate within a team setting.
• Dependable, proactive, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.
