Maintenance Technician

Columbus $30 p/h Contract

Job description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a variety of facility and operational equipment and systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities to support equipment reliability and overall performance.
  • Provide technical support across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related systems.
  • Maintain and support essential building systems such as power distribution, air systems, and environmental controls.
  • Assist with equipment installations, system enhancements, and general facility improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret technical documentation including schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Follow established safety procedures and support compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Investigate equipment issues, determine root causes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Position may require flexible scheduling, including overtime or on-call support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or maintenance-related role.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems (single and three-phase) is preferred.
  • General understanding of additional systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, or basic facility infrastructure.
  • Basic computer skills, including common workplace software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using appropriate access equipment where required.
