Senior Manufacturing Technician

St. Louis Competitive p/h Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate, set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and clean manufacturing equipment used in pharmaceutical production.
  • Perform manufacturing activities in accordance with cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Complete and review batch records and production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Coordinate daily production activities with warehouse, staging, and production teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain inventory of production materials and supplies.
  • Train and mentor new manufacturing employees on equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, process improvements, and operational excellence projects.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and business objectives.
  • Be flexible to support overtime, weekend work, and additional operational needs when required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated cGMP environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Proven ability to meet production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience training or mentoring others is a plus.
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing throughout the shift.
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
