Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist with microbial cultivation, enumeration, and routine laboratory tasks to support scientific research.
• Conduct experiments and operate laboratory equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Document and record data accurately, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Prepare and sterilize materials and media for experiments.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
• Participate in data analysis and result interpretation.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Adhere to safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

• BS in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in a research environment.
• Demonstrated experience with aseptic techniques and microbial cultivation.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, chemical & analytical techniques, and equipment setup.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory setting and handling hazardous materials safely.
• Detail-oriented with high ethical standards in laboratory work.
• Experience with automated liquid handling is preferred.
